With five planets in retrograde at once, a lunar eclipse, and the unprecedented time we are living in, July will prove to be a powerful month. This tarot spread was crafted to help give you some insight and guidance. As we continue to fight the injustices in our society, it’s important to know your strengths and how you can use them to take action. We also can’t forget how essential it is to take care of your own energy and well-being.

Almost immediately, on the night of the 4th, we have a Full Moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn. This is a great time to revisit some of the big lessons you have learned. Think about your past actions and reflect on how much you have grown and where you are still holding onto belief systems that are ultimately holding you back. The eclipse allows you to face your shadows and help you release self-limiting beliefs or habits that need to be left behind.

On July 20th we have a rare lunar moment with the New Moon in the same sign as the sun: Cancer. This moon comes with an opportunity to nurture yourself and face your deepest emotions. Take some time to sit in silence and really pay attention to how you are feeling. If you need to cry, let it out! Give yourself permission to feel emotional release. This would also be a great night to honor the element of water by taking a relaxing bath and journaling your feelings.

To begin the reading, start in a seated and relaxed state. While shuffling your deck, ask yourself the first question and really focus your intent. Cut the deck and draw the card on the top. Repeat for every question. Please note that this spread can be used with either tarot or oracle cards.

  1. What is one strength I should invest time in during July?

  2. What mental myth do I need to confront and move on from?

  3. What is my strength as an activist and how can I help the collective as an individual?

  4. How can I best heal and nurture myself during July?
