Tandoh is fiercely passionate, funny, and thoughtful as she weaves her way around the various topics that center around food. Scattered among the essays are her quick and easy recipes which are approachable and adaptable.

This is the second book from the Posie Parker mystery series, a guilty pleasure of mine. In this scenario the elegant sleuth travels to exotic locales in in search of a missing adventurer. As we emerge from this frightening pandemic, getting lost in a mystery is one way to transport yourself to a different world. The characters are funny, the mysteries engrossing, and it’s a wonderful way to relax and melt your anxiety away.
CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
A sweeping saga of a Korean family that emigrate to Japan. What has not been said about this phenomenal book? It is stunning and gut-wrenching in it’s exploration of identity, belonging, success, and the immigrant experience. This book will stay in your thoughts, but that’s a good thing.
THE CLASSIC
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Even if you were forced to read this for school, this gem is one worth re-reading. Pride and Prejudice is full of observations on relationships and life that are at once endearing and relatable, even now.
